Mandelic acid belongs to a group of alpha hydroxyl acids (AHA). It has exfoliating, antibacterial, and anti-aging effects. It works to accelerate cell turnover for a youthful complexion. Its antiseptic and antibacterial qualities also help reduce inflammation, lighten pigmentation, and improve texture and tone.
Lactic Acid is an Alpha Hydroxy Acid derived from milk. It exfoliates dead cells on the surface of the skin by breaking down the intercellular glue that holds skin cells together. It is also part of the skin’s Natural moisturizing factors so it maintains the skin’s acid mantle optimally.
Glycolic Acid is a naturally occurring alpha hydroxy acid that sheds dead skin cells and reveals newer, brighter layers underneath.
